COVID-19: AstraZeneca begins late-stage trials of vaccine with 6,000 participants
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca has begun late-stage trials with 6,000 participants for a potential coronavirus vaccine

Amidst COVID-19 pandemic, Pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca has begun late-st trial for a potential coronavirus vaccine following a large investment from US Government. According to an AstraZeneca press release, in coming weeks, company will begin two trials with 6,000 participants and have furr plans to d 4,000 more in order to test antibody medicine.
US invests more money in AztraZenec's potential vaccine
US President Donald Trump and First Ly Melania Trump recently tested positive for COVID-19. US President has alrey recovered and is back working in White House. After getting better Trump credited a similar form of rapy to one AstraZeneca is testing as reason for his quick recovery.

Following President’s recovery, US Government has decided to invest an ditional $486 million into British Pharmaceutical company in dition to $25 million it alrey invested when company’s potential COVID vaccine entered phase I trials. Through this deal, US has alrey secured hundreds of thousands of doses of experimental treatments by end of 2020. re is also option of US acquiring one million more doses from pharmaceutical company by 2021.

Last month Cana also entered into a $800 Million deal with AstraZeneca and reby secured 20 million doses of ir potential COVID-19 vaccine. Cana's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau anunced on Friday, September 25 and will start receiving doses once vaccine has been tested safe. Cana w has tentative deals with 12 potential COVID-19 vaccine candidates. Cana’s deal with AstraZeneca does t allow for refunds, meaning that if AstraZeneca’s vaccine is never approved country will still have to give pharmaceutical company $800 million.
