Denmark closes borders to foreigners for one month amid Coronavirus scare

As per reports, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on March 13 anunced that all foreigners who could t prove that y h pressing matters in Denmark would t be allowed entry. She ded that Danish citizens would still be allowed inside.

dressing a press briefing on March 13, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros ham Ghebreyesus stated that Europe h become new epicentre of vel coronavirus. To buttress this point, he highlighted that more cases were being reported every day in Europe than y were in China at height of COVID-19 outbreak. Moreover, he termed spre of pandemic resulting in 5000 deaths as a “tragic milestone”. On Wednesday, WHO declared COVID-19 outbreak as 'pandemic'.

WHO vises nations to opt a comprehensive approach
Dr Tedros mentioned that WHO h shipped supplies of personal protective equipment to 56 countries, which would be extended to 28 more nations. He vised countries to take a comprehensive approach rar than focus on one particular aspect, wher it is contact tracing or social distancing. Furrmore, he contended that any country which looked at experience of or countries with large epidemics and assumed “that it won’t happen to us” was making a dely mistake.
