Dhanush birthday: ‘Pattas’ first look and celebrity wishes make it special for birthday boy

Dhanush fans got a special treat on his birthday. The first look of his next ‘Pattas’ was unveiled. Moreover, the special wishes from his former co-stars made the day even more special.

Dhanush fans got a special treat on the occasion of the multitalented artist’s birthday on Sunday. The first look of his next film ‘Pattas’ was unveiled and instantly became a talking point on social media. Moreover, the special wishes from celebrities including some of his former co-stars made the day even more special for the ‘Maari’ star.

The first look of ‘Pattas’ featured Dhanush in a funky avatar as he is seen with bright glares, chains, jacket, ripped jeans and spiked hair. It wouldn’t be wrong to term it as a milder version of his ‘Maari’ look. 

#PattasFirstLook became the top trend on social media within moments of him sharing the poster on Twitter.

Netizens went gaga over the look, calling it ‘Marana Mass’, ‘looking Thalaivar as a college boy’, ‘Birthday treat’ and more. 

The film, to be directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, will also star Mehreen Pirzada, Sneha, Naveen Chandra among others.

Earlier in the day, Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Hansika Motwani, Prasanna, Sudeep, Anirudh Ravichander, had conveyed their greetings to the birthday boy with adorable words. From ‘powerhouse of talent’, ‘gem of a person’, ‘emotional pillar’, there were praises galore for Dhanush.

Other films in the bag: 

Apart from ‘Pattas’, Dhanush is gearing up to star in several other films. One is ‘Asuran’ opposite Malayalam actress Manju Warrier. He also recently announced a film to be directed by ‘Petta’ fame Karthik Subbaraj, opposite Aiswarya Lekshmi, which will be a gangster thriller. Dhanush also cleared that ‘Vada Chennai 2’ was much on and urged his fans to not believe the rumours surrounding the film. 

On the non-Tamil front, the actor recently featured in the internationally acclaimed ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir.' He is reportedly set to reunite with Aanand L Rai after ‘Raanjhanaa’ for a Hindi film as well.
