Donald Trump Makes Longest Nomination Acceptance Speech in US History

Donald Trump, who accepted the Republican party's nomination as the President today on the fourth day of the Republican National Convention (RNC), gave an extremely emotional yet powerful speech.

Trump's speech lasted for one hour and thirty-two minutes, i.e. 92 minutes making it the longest-ever nomination acceptance speech in the US history.

Trump Breaks His Own Record

During his election campaign in 2016, Trump had given a speech which was 76 minutes long; in 2020, his speech was 70 minutes long.

Donald Trump began his speech with accepting the nomination for US President by the Republican Party; he then narrated the horrific assassination attempt made on him during his rally in Pennsylvania.

In his over one-and-a-half-an-hour-long speech, he raked up key issues ahead of the presidential polls and vowed to "make America great again. He was accompanied by his family members, including his wife Melania, sons Eric and Trump Junior, as he took the stage.

Predicting an incredible victory for the party, Trump said, “Four months from now, we will have an incredible victory, and we will begin the four greatest years in the history of our country. Together, we will launch a new era of safety, prosperity and freedom for citizens of every race, religion, colour, and creed.”

"This election should be about the issues facing our country and how to make America successful, safe, free, and great again,” Trump said of the November 5 election.
