Turkey's Anolu ncy says 45 people nationwide were possibly fatally poisoned over past six days after consuming bootleg methyl alcohol.

Thirty suspects have been arrested in police raids in two of Turkey's largest cities, Istanbul and Izmir, said Anolu.

Over 16-thousand litres of ethyl alcohol and nearly 3,000 bottles of bootleg liquor were confiscated, according to police statistics quoted by Anolu.
