Dubai mall flooded after heavy rains, roads clogged, alert issued

Storm-like weather conditions have prevailed in Dubai on November 10 destructing the Dubai Mall along with delay and cancellation of several flights on Nov 10

Heavy rains lashed parts of Dubai on vember 10 causing leak in Dubai Mall and flooding some shops. Several flights were delayed while some were cancelled due to unsettled wear.  National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCM) said that wear is expected to remain unstable until vember 12. As streets were flooded, residents faced difficulty in commuting. rains are accompanied by winds at speed of 25-35 km/hr and reached 50 km/hr at some points as cloud activities increased.

Alert issued by NCM

A yellow and red alert was issued by NCM until Monday evening. sea is expected to remain moderate while being rough at some points at Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. wear is expected to be more stable only as of weekend approaches. valleys in mountaius, as well as eastern regions, were flooded and NCM also asked residents to stay away from such areas. Mainly parts of Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dubai witnessed a heavy downpour with temperatures dropping significantly throughout UAE.

Caution for drivers, flights affected

Dubai Police cautioned ro users amidst wear fluctuations and asked drivers to here to specific ro speed and only use m in cases of emergency. Dubai Airport authorities have also declared that re will be disruption in flight arrivals as well as departures and people were vised to constantly keep a check on changes.
