In the recent past, Southeast Asia was rocked with strong earthquakes. It was followed by a Tsunami. Indonesia is the worst hit, suffering the loss of thousands of human life and disrupted the country for a long time. Earthquakes are a natural phenomenon caused by the clashing of the tectonic plates under the surface of the earth. The resulting shakes can be felt on the land and the sea, which might trigger tsunami waves too. The Ring of Fire is an area which is more prone to witnessing a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
