Elon Musk is reportedly facing a Secret Service probe in the aftermath of the alleged second assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump for his tweets mentioning US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. A foreign media reported that Elon Musk may face a 5 year of imprisonment in the apparent assassination attempt on Trump in Florida. According to the reports, the Tesla company chief can face heavy fines of imprisonment for apparently threatening the US President and the Vice President, which is also called a felony.
The fresh development has come up a day after Musk, in his response to an X user, who questioned why anyone wanted to assassinate Trump. The X user asked, “Why do they want to kill
Donald Trump ?” to which the SpaceX chief responded, “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala???"

Musk, who claimed his post to be a joke, reportedly deleted the post after facing backlash from other users on his X platform. The X chief is yet to react to the report.
The foreign media outlet added that requests were made to the Secret Service for investigations of documents and emails related to the billionaire’s post on his own platform X.

According to the report, the Secret Service responded to requests by saying all Musk-related records were 'compiled for law enforcement purposes'. They are being withheld because 'disclosure could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings'.
Reportedly, the agency's spokesperson Nate Herring said the Secret Service is aware of the social media post made by Elon Musk, adding that the agency investigates all threats related to the protectees.
