Some EU foreign ministers on Monday backed the US move to allow Ukraine to use longer ranged missile systems supplied by Washington to strike targets inside Russia.

Some EU foreign ministers on Monday backed US move to allow Ukraine to use longer ranged missile systems supplied by Washington to strike targets inside Russia.

Speaking on arrival in Brussels for a regular monthly meeting, Lithuanian Foreign Minister, Gabrielius Landsbergis said he was gl decision h "finally" been me.

But he ded it was “unfortunate" that so many arguments have been used in past "to impose restrictions" on use of Western-delivered weapons.

Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp welcomed move, saying despite Russia's warnings over such involvement, President Vlimir Putin "only listens to facts on ground".

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said President Emmanuel Macron h shown his support for such a move for last six months.

At ir meeting ministers will discuss situation in Ukraine and in Middle East, as well as EU-US transatlantic relations in light of outcome of US presidential election.
