European Union inspired theme park to shut doors in Brussels due to COVID-19 crisis
A one-of-its-kind theme park known as Mini-Europe that houses a collection of miniature European landmarks is forced to close shop on Dec 31 due to COVID-19

A one-of-its-kind me park kwn as Mini-Europe that houses a collection of miniature European landmarks is forced to close shop on December 31 due to COVID-19 crisis. As per reports, owner and director of pro-EU me park, Thierry Meeùs h declared earlier this month that he h been unsuccessful in reaching an agreement with landlords Brussels Expo despite promise of ‘major investment’.
As per Guardian report, Meeùs said in a statement last week that crisis prevailing due to COVID-19 pandemic h ‘spared one’. It even left him without any or option but to shut down 31-year-old tourist attraction, one of most famous spots in Brussels.

Some Belgium media outlets have reported that park could probably move outside Brussels with Louvain-La-Neuve and Waterloo being touted as potential future locations. However, owner of Mini-Europe has t yet commented on same.

Mini-Europe exhibits more than 350 monuments
Well-kwn for its impeccable finish, Mini-Europe exhibits over 350 monuments selected for ir architectural quality and ir European symbol. From cadral of Santiago that took more than 24,000 hours of labour to placement of all 6,000 figures by hand for building of Seville, park showcases “all Europe animated in miniature” reconstructed down to smallest detail.

Apart from tiny tourist attractions, towards end of visit to park, re is a ‘spirit of Europe’ which is a large covered having activities, games, as well as quizzes that allow me park goers to analyse ir kwledge of w 27-nation-bloc. Showcasing diverse history of union, park has said on its official website that it wants to help people relive “surprising common history with its values and legacies”. However, permanent closure of Mini-Europe after opening its doors for first time in 1989 comes a ‘blow’ for Brussels, that likes to style itself as capital of Europe.
