Taliban deny entry to female students in Afghanistan university for not wearing Burqa

Female students of a University in Afghanistan claim that they were denied entry for not wearing burqa and were beaten by vice and virtue personnel of Taliban

Female students at Badakhshan University of rastern Afghanistan have claimed that y were sent back from university for t sporting a burqa, attire made compulsory by Taliban. In a video that y sent to media on October 30, y claim that vice and virtue personnel of Taliban beat m up. Shabnam Nasimi, Former Policy Special Advisor to Minister for Afghan Resettlement & Minister for Refugees, United Kingdom tweeted a video of female students getting thrashed with caption: " gut-wrenching screams of women and girls in Afghanistan is painful to hear, as Taliban beat and banned girls from entering a university in Badakhshan province today. Afghanistan is facing aparid. Taliban barbarism must be stopped."

personnel even chased girls off with a whip and lashed m to disperse m. One of female students claimed that y were t allowed inside because y were t wearing a burqa, as directed by Taliban. Taliban regime has imposed several restrictions on women and girls, even though y were already under strict rules before. Naqibullah Qazizada, President of Badakhshan University, in conversation with local media ackwledged violence meted out by Taliban and assured media that appeal of female students will be looked into.

 Taliban regime took over Afghanistan on 15 August 2021 and soon started rolling back all progress Afghanistan had made in terms of equal opportunities for women. Within first week of Taliban regime's reign, women began coming out to streets and protesting. Tamana Paryani was one of first women to protest against Taliban regime.
