The popular American toy catalogue featured in it's October edition a young model suffering from Down's syndrome. The American Girl edition of the company became famous and inspiring with the beautifully captured pictures of the little girl in red dress.

The young girl named Ivy Kimble, who resides in Chicago is the young model who featured for the magazine. The American Girl is a magazine that writes advertises about a range of toys which are usually 18-inch tall models of dolls that are manufactured by a company named  Mattel. The magazine has massive sales in the United States and is popular among its citizens. The company symbolizes equality and has always made an effort to represent the children of all sizes, shapes and abilities.

The representation of inclusion

Recently, the magazine featured the girl with Down's syndrome. She was featured holding a small American Girl Down's syndrome doll. The young Ivy looks beautiful in her red sparkling dress which is similar to the one her doll wears. Kirsten Kimble, the mother of Envy, highly acknowledged the efforts of the company and told international media that after featuring a girl of Down’s syndrome as a model, the market will open up for more inclusions and greater representation for everyone. This will give those differently-abled an opportunity to feel equal to everyone. She further said that she is the mother of four girls and it's every mother's dream that one of the features in the American Girl catalogue.
