France Church Attack: Macron calls for unity, says the country will not give in to terror

President Emmanuel Macron has said that the country will not give in to terrorism after three people were killed in France church attack on October 29.

French President Emmanuel Macron has said that France will t give in to terrorism after three people were killed in a knife attack on a church in Nice. While speaking outside basilica in Nice, Macron described Thursday’s horrifying incident as ‘Islamist and terrorist mness’ and said ‘France is being attacked’. He anunced that in coming days number of soldiers patrolling streets would be more than double and furr expressed his support for Catholic community. 

Macron said, “Three of our compatriots died at basilica in Nice today and at same time a French consular site was attacked in Saudi Arabia. I want to express, first and foremost, nation’s support for Catholics of France and elsewhere.” 

He ded, "My second mess is to Nice and people of Nice who have alrey suffered as a result of Islamist terrorist folly. This is third time terrorism has struck your city and you have support and solidarity of nation.”

French president went on to speak about 2016 killing of Far Jacques Hamel and said that it is Catholics of country that are being attacked once again. Macron said that nation is with ‘Catholic compatriots’ and ded, "We are at ir side in order that religion can be freely exercised in our country."

“If we have been attacked once again, it is because of our values, our taste for freedom; freedom to believe freely and t give in to any terror. We will give in to thing. Today we have increased our security to deal with terrorist threat,” said French President. 

France witnesses second ‘terrorist attack’ 

French media reported that one of three victims was brutally beheed by attacker, who has w been arrested. Apart from three deceased, several ors have been injured in incident. Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice has come forward to reveal that attacker, shouted "Allahu Akbar" while he was being restrained by French Police. Taking to Twitter, Estrosi termed incident as "a terrorist attack", calling for an end to "fascism" in country.
