Friends, the era-defining American sit-com, celebrated its silver jubilee recently. Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the show first aired on September 22, 1994. The lead cast of Friends includes Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston among the others. Lisa Kudrow played the characters Pheobe Buffay and Ursula Buffay, who are twins, throughout the show. Pheobe Buffay plays a Gibson Gospel guitar and sings mostly inappropriate songs on all the wrong occasions. Smelly Cat
Her song Smelly Cat is one of Phoebe’s trademark characteristics, which she performs at Central Perk. Smelly Cat, the song that has gone on to make its way in fans' hearts, talks about a cat who is shunned by society due to its foul stench. Phoebe can sympathise with the cat as she is an outcast. In an episode that follows, a record producer approaches Phoebe and proposes to record the song. Pheobe is delighted by the result, but she misses out on something important that her friends spot immediately, that the voice used in the video belongs to another woman.

Christmas With Friends
Another popular song that was sung by Phoebe is Christmas With Friends. Just before dispersing for their holidays, Phoebe decides to wish everyone at Central Perk with a song. She mentions in the episode that she dedicates the song to people close to her. She begins singing the renowned Phoebe Buffay way and has the lines of songs rhyming with the names of her friends, with sentences like ‘Monica, Monica, have a happy Hanukkah’ and ‘Please tell Joey, Christmas will be Snowy!’
Grandma
Phoebe and other five are at a school surrounded by kids everywhere. Phoebe decides to sing a song about grandparents in front of the kids. She begins the song on a very good note, describing how everyone loves their grandma. Everyone is cheerful and swaying along with the words until she ends the song with the lines ‘Your Mom and Dad said she moved to Peru, but the truth is she died and one day you’ll too’.
