George Floyd death: Sundar Pichai's gesture, YouTube's $1M pledge & Marvel's solidarity
Amid the outrage over George Floyd's death, CEO Sundar Pichai announced solidarity gesture, while YouTube pledged $1m. Marvel, Twitter also backed the cause.

Citizens have taken to streets in protest as United States of America boiled over death of African-American man George Floyd last week. After outr on social media spilled over to ground, major companies across country are also making strong statements in hour of Floyd and condemnation of racism.

One of major tech companies of world, Google, shared ir support by highlighting mess ‘We stand in support of racial equality, and all those who search for it' on homeps of Google and YouTube in USA. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, wrote that company was standing in solidarity with Black community and also named or victims ‘without a voice’ like Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery.
Pichai ded that y were with those who were s and angry over incident.

Moreover, YouTube anunced that it was pledging $1 million to dress social injustice. On Twitter, company wrote that it was ‘hurt’ when members of its community were ''hurt' and condemned racism and violence.
Marvel Entertainment also stood in support of inclusion. In a mess on Twitter, banner churning superhero blockbusters like Avengers wrote that it stood with ir black employees, storytellers, creators and entire community.

Twitter too showcased support by posting #BlackLivesMatter in its bio and by changing its overall colour tone to black.

Earlier, Netflix h supported ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement and ded that it would be ‘complicit’ to be ‘silent.’

George Floyd died as a result of police brutality on May 25 when Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt at back of his neck, while pinning him down, for over eight minutes as he said, “I can’t brea.”Chauvin has been arrested and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. Protests were witnessed from New York to Los Angeles, and many have turned violent too, with large-scale vandalism and arrests being reported.
