Germany has warned of “immediate consequences” if Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn is found to have violated the law on its soil amid protests in Thailand.

Germany has warned of “immediate consequences” if Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn is found to have violated law on its soil while protesters gared in thousands outside its embassy in Bangkok on October 26. In latest development of Germany ramping up its campaign to le changes in monarchy, German Foreign Minister Heiko Mass said in a news conference that government has been regularly monitoring happenings that took place involving Thai king. 

This came after reportedly demonstrators submitted a letter questioning legal credibility of Thai king in European nation. protesters have also requested German government to launch an investigation to find out if monarch has exercised his royal authority during his stay in Germany which is in violation of country’s law. petition, according to protest organisers, is reportedly meant to mark Thailand’s return “to path of truthful constitutional monarchy.” As per Associated Press report, German Foreign Minister has assured saying that “If re are things we consider to be illegal, that will have immediate consequences.”

"Of course we are following developments in Thailand, that re are demonstrations and people taking to streets for ir rights, and of course I also have an eye on Thai king's actions in Germany," Maas told reporters.

As per Associated Press, demonstrators who were anywhere between 5,000 to 10,000, believe that Thai king currently wields an irdinate level of power in a nation which is rmally a democracy under a constitutional monarchy. However, this sudden wave of criticism and scrutiny of monarch in Thailand has been reportedly unprecedented because in nation royal constitution is considered sacrosanct.

demonstrations have also prompted royalists to st counter-rallies while demeaning protests for raising issue. This has furr intensified risk of confrontation. German government, meanwhile, has showcased receptiveness to demands of protesters who are asking for an investigation.
