In a recent interview with a daily, the ‘Puli’ star stated that she noticed ‘something was wrong’ with her phone when she visited the United States of America a few weeks ago. The actress called the entire incident ‘extremely disheartening’. The ‘Aap Kaa Surroor' star stated that while facing the embarrassment of the leak was ‘bad enough’, the comments further shaming her were ‘really hurtful.’ She stated people had the gall to say that it wasn’t a ‘big deal’ considering she has done bikini shots in the past, but she asserted that it was a big deal.
The 27-year-old clarified that some of the photographs were morphed, so it was not her pictures. Moreover, if she did a bikini shot for a film or a magazine, she was doing it out of choice, but leaking her pictures without her consent were two different things. She clarified that the pictures weren’t recent, but ones that were taken four years ago.

However, amid the chaos, the actress was pleased with the support coming her way, notably her fans starting the hashtag #IStandByHansika and others joining in and said it definitely helped her.
There has been a section of netizens which called it a ‘publicity stunt.’ Reacting to the same, the ‘Villain’ star stated that she doesn’t seek attention from anyone. She added that she has always maintained a ‘low profile’ in her career, something that was evident in the manner of her social media conduct and something she was as a person.
