Google launches 'SOS Alert' amid Coronavirus outbreak to help users

While the World Health Organisation has declared the Coronavirus outbreak as a global health emergency, Google launched 'SOS Alert' on January 31 to help users.

While World Health Organisation has declared Coronavirus outbreak as a global health emergency, Google will w be directing systematic results to users who will search 'coronavirus'. results will include safety tips, situation updates, and or resources from WHO. search engine anunced ir new initiative of 'SOS Alert' on January 31 which will also provide users with questions, answers and or visories related to outbreak.

According to international reports, Google has also donated $250,000 through its charitable arm Google.org to Chinese branch of Red Cross to aid coronavirus relief work. death toll of vel virus has risen to over 200 and as many as 9,356 confirmed cases in China with several or at least 100 cases have been confirmed in 18 or countries.

China calls for 'solidarity'

China has called for international solidarity and wants countries to avoid overreaction. China's ambassor to United Nations, Zhang Jun wants all countries to behave in a responsible manner on January 30. While speaking to reports, Zhang said China is at a 'very critical st' of fighting SARS-like virus and it is 'extremely important' for all countries to behave in an 'appropriate and responsible manner'.

He also ackwledged concerns of or countries over outbreak of virus which originated from Chinese city of Wuhan, and ded that 'we should listen to vice' of WHO director-general Tedros ham Ghebreyesus who declared that organisation has 'full confidence in China's efforts'. Citing WHO, Zhang also touted uninterrupted tre and travel to China while United States issued a 'Do t Travel' visory for China due to outbreak.

China's ambassor to UN said that 're is reason' for measures that 'unnecessarily' interfere with international travel and tre. Zhang also ded that under certain circumstances. world requires solidarity in order to tackle virus spre. According to Chinese envoy, countries should avoid 'overreaction that may result in spillover negative effects.'
