While speculations of Hamza bin Len’s death have been making rounds since August, President Donald Trump anunced that heir to Al –Qaeda was killed near Afghanistan/Pakistan region in a US counterterrorism operation. President Trump in a press statement said that, “ loss of Hamza bin Lin t only deprives al-Qa’ida of important leership skills and symbolic connection to his far but undermines important operational activities of group. Hamza bin Len was responsible for planning and dealing with various terrorist groups.”
About Hamza bin Len
son of executed terrorist Osama bin Len, Hamza, was believed to be born to one of Osama’s three wives, Khairiah Sabar of Saudi Arabia. While he spent his childhood in Jeddah for a short while, he is thought to have stayed with his mor in Iran for a long time. Believed to be around 30 years of at time of his death, Hamza was only a child when his far plotted 9\11 attacks. According to media reports, US State Department said that Hamza was married to daughter of Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah, or Abu Muhamm al-Masri, who was allegedly involved in 1998 bombings of US embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. Hamza was absent from Abbottab compound in Pakistan, during assassination of Osama bin Len.

Role in evolving terrorism
Declared as a 'Specially Designated Global Terrorist' by USA in January 2017, Hamza bin Len was classified for being associated with ISIL or Al-Qaida for “participating in financing, planning, facilitating, preparing, or perpetrating of acts or activities by, in conjunction with, under name of, on behalf of, or in support of” and “recruiting for”, and “orwise supporting acts or activities or indicating association with” by United Nations Security Council on February 28, 2019. As per UNSC reports, in 2015, bin Len called for attacks against U.S., French, and Israeli interests and he also called for acts of terrorism in western capitals on behalf of Al-Qaida. In 2016, Al-Qaida issued an audio mess from Hamza bin Len threatening revenge against United States and warned Americans that y would be targeted in United States and abro. ditionally, in 2016, bin Len also called on Saudi Arabian-based tribes to unite with Al-Qaida’s affiliate in Yemen to w war against Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In May 2017, bin Len released an audio mess, on behalf of Al-Qaida, calling on followers to conduct attacks. And lastly in January 2018, bin Len released a video, also on behalf of Al-Qaida, deuncing Saudi Arabia and calling for overthrow of monarchy in an effort to recruit viewers to Al-Qaida. Apart from all of this, he was implicated for assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. A wanted poster was released by U.S. Department of State Rewards for Justice program showing Hamza bin Len. Also, a $1 million reward was issued by US on information of Hamza bin Len’s location or movement.
