On September 26, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani during UN General Assembly used opportunity to warn that issue of security in Persian Gulf region is sensitive and could le to furr escalations with ‘single blunder’ and peace can be maintained only by countries present in region. He furr ded that situation will only get worse with US intervention or with Washington’s ‘merciless ecomic intervention’. He warned that Gulf region is "on edge of collapse". response was against US sanctions imposed on country.

Iranian President during his speech accused United States of participating in “international piracy” against Iran with its reformed ecomic sanctions imposed on country. re-imposition came after Washington me an exit from 2015 nuclear deal with world powers. speech of Iranian President was highly anticipated by leers of world and international media. Rouhani in his speech said that “Tehran “will never negotiate with an enemy that seeks to make Iran surrender with weapon of poverty,” he furr ded, “Stop sanctions so as to open way for start of negotiations.”

Iran's response to US sanctions

speech was in response to recently anunced ditional US sanctions by  US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Iran’s ability to sell oil . US Secretary also imposed penalties on six Chinese companies for tring Iranian crude oil. In his interview during an event for United Against a Nuclear Iran, he said, “We’re telling China and all nations, kw that we will sanction every violation of sanctionable activity,”. Subsequently, a group of lobbyists at UN hequarters spoke against nuclear deal. re is escalating tension in Middle East due to nuclear deal unfolding under US pressure, at same time Iran seeks to expand its nuclear enrichment programmes. rising tension is progressing towards direct conflict, a situation that all countries of Middle East including rivals Iran and Saudi Arabia want to avoid. In order to keep situation stable, United Nations immediately deployed its military reinforcements and increased security presence in Gulf Region.

Trump calls Iran, 'greatest threat'

President Trump in his speech during UN Assembly called Iran as “one of greatest threats” to world. On or hand, Iranian President called US interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria as a failure and Washington has also failed to “resolve more sophisticated issues” making conditions worse in Middle East. He also said on Saturday that, “Security shall t be supplied with American weapons and intervention”. He also ded that “Security cant be purchased or supplied by foreign governments.”
