South Korea's National Intelligence Service Director Park Jie-won met Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga on Tuesday in Tokyo. two agreed to work to resolve issue of Japan's forced draft of Koreans during World War II.
Suga said cooperation between Japan, United States and South Korea was vital. Animosities over Japan and South Korea's colonial past have deepened in last few years, worrying United States, which wants to bolster a trilateral alliance to better cope with a rising China and rth Korean nuclear threats.
