Hezbollah Fires Barrage of Rockets at Israel, Says Ready For 'Direct Confrontation' | Video

Hezbollah has officially denied reports claiming that Israeli troops have crossed into Lebanon. In a statement released by spokesman Mohammed Afifi, the group emphasized its readiness for a “direct confrontation” if Israeli forces attempt to enter Lebanese territory.

This statement marks Hezbollah’s first response since Israel announced the initiation of ground operations. Afifi reiterated that Hezbollah fighters stand prepared to engage with any enemy forces that venture across the border, asserting their commitment to inflict casualties on Israeli troops.

The spokesman also indicated that Hezbollah’s recent firing of medium-range missiles toward central Israel on Tuesday is “only the beginning.” 

This warning comes on the heels of rocket fire from Lebanon, which struck the Greater Tel Aviv area. Videos shared on social media captured the moment several rockets impacted the region. The Israeli military reported that it intercepted "a number of" these rockets before they could reach their targets. Sirens were activated across multiple areas, including Gush Dan, Sharon, Yarkon, and Samaria, alerting residents to seek shelter.

According to Israeli media sources, one man in his 50s sustained moderate injuries as a result of the rocket attacks on central Israel.
