Hong Kong legislature has formally withdrawn the controversial extradition bill on October 23 which prompted outrage and led to violent protests for months.

Although protests h started over extrition bill, y have grown into an aggressive demonstration demanding full democracy of Hong Kong from Beijing.
One of five demands accepted
decision means that pro-China government has finally acceded to one of five demands of protesters, who flooded streets over past months against legislation and governance of city. protestors have been demanding formal withdrawal of bill as well as setting up of a commission of inquiry to investigate police conduct in tackling protests. y also demanded amnesty for those who have been arrested and restart city's stalled political reform process. However, Carrie Lam h earlier denied accepting or demands by protesters.

Reportedly, a firebomb was also tossed at one of subway stations. In dendum to growing violence, protesters tore off stones from sidewalk and scattered m on ro, commandeered safety barriers and even unscrewed metal railings to form makeshift roblocks.
