Washington: As Donald Trump is set to become 47th President of United States, he will achieve several historical firsts.  

Trump's historic victory will make him second president to serve n-consecutive terms after Grover Cleveland, a feat that was last achived 132 years ago. Cleveland was 22nd and 24th US President who served from 1885 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1897.

Trump me an incredible political comeback  in American history as he swept all swing states. Trump was first elected as US President in 2016 and his termed continued till 2020. However, he failed to win a second term in a row after losing to Joe Biden in 2020 election race. 

At 78, he would be oldest person in American history to be elected president. Joe Biden , who will turn 82 on vember 20, is oldest sitting President. Moreover, Trump is projected to become first Republican to win popular vote in 20 years, according to New York Times.

Twice Impeached President 

If Trump wins race to Oval Office, he will become only President in US history to face impeachment proceedings twice during his official tenure. However, he was acquitted on all counts by Senate in both cases.

first impeachment was in 2019 over allegations that Trump secretly sought help from Ukraine to boost his chances of re-election. It was alleged that Trump urged his Ukrainian counterpart Zelensky to investigate one of frontrunners who would contest against him in 2020 presidential election. It was reported that Trump h frozen $400 million in military aid to Ukraine, which is involved in a war with Russia. Trump was impeached for second time on January 13, 2021, a week before his term expired, for allegedly inciting January 6 attack on US Capitol.

First Convicted Felon to Hold Office

Republican, who was convicted of 34 felony counts earlier this year, will also be first US President to hold office while facing legal indictment. Trump was convicted in New York in May, but is yet to be sentenced, and a trial is scheduled on vember 26.

He has been accused of falsifying business records tied to hush money payments to ult film star Stormy Daniels prior to 2016 presidential election. Trump has, however, denied allegations and has pleed t guilty.
