Howdy Modi: Future US cricketers excited to welcome PM Modi to Texas

Cricket in the US is largely dominated by Indians and the young cricketers of a club in Texas took to Twitter to welcome PM Modi to Texas and with Howdy Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United States President Donald Trump are all set to jointly address a one of a kind rally, 'Howdy, Modi' in Houston on September 22. The word 'Howdy'  is a short form from  'How do you do?' which is a friendly greeting commonly used in the southwestern United States and therefore is the name of the event designed as a greeting to PM Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has previously addressed similar gatherings at Madison Square Garden in New York and the SAP Center in San Jose. The Indian diaspora along with the other Americans are already very excited to welcome PM Modi to Houston as a large number of billboards with 'Welcome to Texas PM Modi' have sprung up in the USA.

Future US cricketers say 'Howdy Modi' 

The Indian community in the US is very excited to welcome PM Modi and they have taken to social media to post about their excitement. From yoga to cricket, Howdy Modi is doing the waves as scores of people are expressing their eagerness to hear the Indian PM address the gathering. Cricket in the US is largely dominated by Indians and the young cricketers of a club in Texas took to Twitter to welcome PM Modi to Texas and the US. Apart from these young faces, many other people doing exercise, yoga or while being at their trades have posted videos welcoming PM Modi. Howdy, Modi? - About the event

Texas India Forum (TIF), with the help of more than 1000 volunteers are organizing a community summit for PM Modi.TIF has also confirmed that over 650 community organizations have already signed up to be 'welcome partners' for the program. According to the events page, more than 50,000 attendees have registered for the event in three weeks. The event is all sold out. It is also mentioned that the live audience will be the largest gathering for an invited foreign leader visiting the country, apart from the Pope. The event will include a cultural program and an address by PM Modi. A 90-minute cultural program titled, 'Woven: The Indian-American Story' is going to performed celebrating the contributions of Indian-Americans to the cultural,  and social landscape of the United States.  'Howdy, Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures' event will be held at the pulsating NRG Stadium in Houston.

Stephanie Grisham, White House Secretary had said in a statement that ,"It will be a great opportunity to emphasize the strong ties between the people of the United States and India, to reaffirm the strategic partnership between the world's oldest and largest democracies, and to discuss ways to deepen their energy and trade relationship."
