Mexican researchers from the National Institute of Anthropology and History discovered 'mammoth traps' which were created by humans 15,000 years ago for hunting

anthropologists of Mexico have anunced that y found two pits dug 15,000 years ago built by humans to trap mammoths. Mexican researchers from National Institute of Anthropology and History disclosed on vember 6 that human-me pits were found during excavations on land which was used to be a garb dump. It was also found out that those huge pits were filled with bones of nearly 14 mammoths in area of Tultepec which lies rth of Mexico City and some were supposedly even butchered.

pits which were discovered were about 6 feet deep and 25 yards wide in diameter. researches of National institute said that hunters might have chased mammoths into traps which were created to capture m. Along with mammoths, or species that went extinct in Americas were a horse and a camel, and remains of ir bones were also found by scientists. recently discovered traps for giant animals were also first of its kind and is also an unexpected context of mammoth hunting. traps also a touchstone on what scientists h imagined or studied about hunter-garer relationship with giants.

Reportedly, during press conference, Sánchez Nava said on behalf of anthropologist Diego Prieto Hernández, general director of Institute that recent findings have changed how researchers viewed early humans. se finds showed that early humans hunted mammoths and only attacked m after gigantic animal fell in traps created by humans. Furrmore, to elaborate on background of recent finding, coordinator of Archaeology recalled exploration three years ago in San Antonia where y found an almost complete bone of one se mammoths, and it later led to opening of Museum of Mamut, same place where conference was held.
