New Delhi: After former US President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump expressed desire of appointing Tech mogul Elon Musk to a cabinet position or an visory role within his ministration if he returned to power, latter responded positively, saying he was "willing to serve."

This comes days after Tesla CEO held a conversation with Trump on X in which duo spoke about a range of topics , including his assassination attempt and presidential bid.
On Monday, Trump h mentioned that, if he wins November 5 elections elected, he would consider appointing Musk to a cabinet position or an visory role within his ministration.

Trump's comments followed his critique of $7,500 tax credit for electric vehicle (EV) purchases, a measure he suggested he might abolish if he returns to White House.
"Tax credits and tax incentives are not generally a very good thing," Trump said following a campaign event in Pennsylvania.

Upon being specifically asked about possibility of giving Tesla CEO a particular role in his ministration, Trump responded, "He's a very smart guy. I certainly would, if he would do it, I certainly would. He's a brilliant guy."
