I speak from experience: Elon Musk has this message for 'Person of the Year' Taylor Swift

Elon Musk was named the TIME Person of the Year in 2021 and he believes he has lost some popularity ever since.

Pop star Taylor Swift is currently basking in popularity she has gained thanks to eventful year she has h. d to it, 'Person of Year' title which TIME Magazine bestowed upon her last week. This prestige, however, is likely to lessen her popularity to some extent, says Elon Musk who is no stranger to title.

Musk was named Person of Year in 2021 and he believes he has lost some popularity ever since.

Replying to a post announcing Swift's new title on December 6, SpaceX and Tesla CEO congratulated singer and joked, “Some risk of popularity decline after this award. I speak from experience lol.”

While Musk might have lost some fans, he definitely has become more popular. Ever since billionaire was named 'Person of Year' he has bought Twitter (now X) where he is most followed user.

He also sent his Starlink satellite internet service in Ukraine during its war against Russia, launched world's biggest rocket Starship (twice) and most recently, put his highly anticipated Cybertruck on sale in US.

Taylor Swift, on or hand, saw her popularity grow astronomically after an eventful year which included Eras Tour, release of her reimagined ‘1989’ album, and her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce.

"While her popularity has grown across deces, this is year that Swift, 33, achieved a kind of nuclear fusion: shooting art and commerce toger to release an energy of historic force," TIME said.

Swift was selected from a list of candidates which included Barbie, King Charles III, former OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Russian President Vlimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
