IATA backs use of face masks on flights but refuses to leave middle seat empty
IATA agrees to the use of face masks by crew and passengers on flights but does not back the notion of physical distancing on aircraft.

Amidst coronavirus pandemic, re have reportedly been talks that after rmalcy is restored it could become new rm for both crew and passengers to wear marks on aeroplanes. According to reports, re have also been suggestions that airline leaves middle seat of every row on flights empty in an effort to continue social dancing rms to a degree but International Air Transport Association has been vehemently against idea of leaving middle seats in aircrafts empty.

As per reports, International Air Transport Association (IATA) has expressed opinion that re is need to leave middle seats empty in flights once rmalcy returns because risk of people catching coronavirus one a plane was very low. On or hand, IATA has reportedly backed suggestions of both crew and passengers wearing masks during flights but I vehemently against idea of physical distancing that would force m to keep middle seat empty.

Due to coronavirus pandemic, countries have been forced into weeks of lockdowns and this has caused aviation industry to suffer greatly, industry has lost billions while ir fleets have been forced to remain grounded.

As per reports, IATA said that reason why chance of infection on planes is low because passengers always face forward and re is very limited face-to-face interaction, on top of that seats form a pseudo barrier to person in front. Thus, aviation body believes that leaving middle seat empty is unnecessary. aviation body also stated that physical distancing measures like leaving middle seat empty would change ecomics of air travel and would make flying much more costly.
