“I’m suffocating”- the final words of Jamal Khashoggi were divulged through audio recordings recovered by investigators, with every new development in the murder case thrusting the Saudi Arabia regime into a darker corner.
“I’m suffocating...Take this bag off my head, I’m claustrophobic,” were the last words uttered by the Saudi Arabian journalist according to the recording from inside the Saudi embassy in Istanbul.

The investigations in the Khashoggi-case had also revealed that the Turkish police terminated the search for the journalist’s body. Reports from Ankara claim that traces of acid have been retrieved from the drains at the Saudi Consul general’s residence in Istanbul, where the body is believed to have been dissolved using chemicals.
"We now see that it wasn't just cut up, they got rid of the body by dissolving it," Yasin Aktay, an advisor to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and an official in Turkey's ruling party, told the Hurriyet newspaper on Friday, November 2.

"They aimed to ensure no sign of the body was left. This is what is understood from the prosecutor's statement," said Aktay, who was close to the journalist.
Earlier on Monday, over 200 people gathered in Istanbul to pay respect to the memory of the Washington Post journalist, demanding justice.

The United States Secretary of State Michael Pompeo spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Sunday, November 11, and said that the US would hold people involved in the killing of Khashoggi accountable.
Addressing the Yemen conflict and crisis, Pompeo called on the involved parties to join hands to find a peaceful solution to the situation.
"On Yemen, the Secretary reiterated the United States' calls for a cessation of hostilities and for all parties to come to the table to negotiate a peaceful solution to the conflict under the UN Special Envoy," Heather Nauert, the U.S. State Department spokesperson, said in a statement.
The MBS-led regime is under scrutiny from the globe for both- the incessant air-strikes on civilians in Yemen and the vicious murder of Khashoggi.
