Indonesia: Police to launch probe into fire at attorney general’s office building

As flames ravaged the six-storey building in South Jakarta, at least 65 fire brigadiers and close to 200 first responders were deployed on-site in Indonesia.

Police in Indonesia has anunced that it will investigate into massive fire that engulfed attorney general’s office building in Jakarta on August 22, capital city's police spokesman Yusri Yunus said in a statement. casualties were reported in incident. As flames ravd six-storey building in South Jakarta, at least 65 fire brigiers and close to 200 first responders were deployed at site, and traffic diverted on Jl. Bulungan ro, as per reports. Authorities answered distress call at 7:15 pm local time. 

Indonesian police spokesperson, Yunus, said that national police forensic laboratory will commence an official probe into  fire once blazes h simmered down. Meanwhile,  spokesman for attorney general’s office (AGO), Hari Setiyo, declined to comment on cause of fire to high-rise building structure. However, he indicated, that  AGO case files remained undamd and were immediately shifted to a safety lock at a separate area in building, local media reports confirmed. important documents and files were t burnt in fire and authorities have secured data backup, spokesperson for office of assistant attorney general for intelligence, and human resources department was quoted saying in local media reports.

Office 'n-operative' at time
