Iran responds to Trudeau, asks for Canadian intelligence report

After the Canadian PM cited multiple reports & claimed that an Iranian missile has hit the Ukranian aircraft, Tehran has now asked Canada to share their intel

After Canian PM Justin Trudeau cited multiple reports and claimed that an Iranian missile hit Ukranian plane that crashed on January 8, Tehran has w asked Cana to share ir intelligence on matter. As per reports, Iran has also invited Boeing to take part in Ukranian plane crash inquiry.  

This comes as a Ukrainian aircraft with at least 176 people aboard crashed on Wednesday right after taking off from Tehran's Imam Khomeini airport. Iran around same time h fired a series of ballistic missiles at two military bases in Iraq that housed US troops.

Canian PM’s claims missile crash 

Canian PM Justin Trudeau, on Friday, dressed media and cited reports from various intelligence ncies to state that  Ukrainian passenger plane was brought down by an Iranian missile. He ded that “this may well have been unintentional”. Iran, just before Trudeau’s statement, h clarified that reports claiming missile attack on Ukrainian passenger plane are thing but, “illogical rumours.”

63 Canian citizens killed in crash  

Out of 176 people who were killed on board, 63 were Canian citizens expecting to fly on to Toronto from Kyiv. Media reports quote US intelligence sources, who claimed that Ukranian aircraft could have been mistaken for a US warplane by Iranians. US intelligence also stated that a satellite detected infrared "blips" of two missile launches, followed by ar blip of an explosion.

US officials on plane crash  

US President Donald Trump, in a statement, blamed Iran for striking down Ukranian aircraft. However, as per reports,  US officials have denied naming  intelligence ncy that y have been citing. Iranian intelligence report, on or hand, cited technical malfunction in Ukranian aircraft as reason for crash.

Ukraine, out of all intelligence ncies investigating matter claimed that re were several working ories regarding crash and re is surety wher Iranian missile hit aircraft.
