New Delhi: Amid the escalating tensions in the West Asia, social media platform X on Sunday suspended the Hebrew-language account of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, hours after it was created. Notably, Hebrew is a language that is spoken in Israel.

This comes after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a stern warning against Israel following the recent airstrikes by Tel Aviv which claimed lives of four Iranian soldiers and damage to their military sites.

Currently, the @Khamenei_Heb account appears suspended for violating X’s rules.

As Israel's conflict with Iran-backed militant groups Hezbollah and Hamas refuses to die down, Khamenei on his now-suspended account @Khamenei_Heb wrote, “The Zionist regime made a mistake. It erred in its calculations on Iran. We will cause it to understand what kind of strength, ability, initiative, and will the Iranian nation has.”

Khamenei's Account Suspended After Two Posts

His account was suspended just after he posted two tweets. His first tweet in his Hebrew-language account on Saturday, reading, "In the name of Allah the merciful," came hours after Israel conducted “precise strikes” on Iran.

Following the deadly attack by Israel on parts of Iran on October 26, Khamenei met the family members of the soldiers killed in the attack.

The Iranian leader also posted on his official account, issuing strong message against the Jewish state.

Referring to the latest strike by Tel Aviv, he tweeted, "The Zionist regime made a wrong move two nights ago. We must make them understand the power, determination, and initiative of the Iranian people."

"Zionists are making a miscalculation with respect to Iran. They don't know Iran. They still haven't been able to correctly understand the power, initiative, and determination of the Iranian people. We need to make them understand these things," he further tweed on his old account.

"The actions of the Zionist regime in #Gaza and Lebanon are among the most horrific #warcrimes. War is difficult, but it has its rules and laws, and limits. Just because one side is fighting another, it doesn’t mean that all of these limits should be trampled on," he further added.

Why Israel Attacked Iran Recently

The recent Israeli attack on Iran comes weeks after Tehran launched a massive missile barrage on the Jewish state on October 1, most of which were shot down by Israeli air defenses with the help of US forces. The October 1 attack was in retaliation to a series of Israeli attacks against Iran’s Lebanese proxy Hezbollah, killing its leader Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike and then sending troops across the border into southern Lebanon. Israel has also battered Lebanon with aerial strikes which it says are aimed at dismantling Hezbollah, but which have claimed thousands of lives.
