The United States has reportedly detected a 'heightened state of alert' by Iran's missile forces across the country amid spiralling tensions after US strike.

A US official told an international media ncy on January 5 that it remained unclear if measures taken in Iran are defensive in nature or t. official spoke on condition of anymity and has denied providing any furr details after dramatic escalation in tensions between US and Iran. US President Donald Trump directed air raid in Baghd which killed Iranian top commander Qassem Soleimani along with or military personnel. US authorities are currently 'watching closely' activities of Iran's forces.

Iran exits nuclear deal
Just two days after Soleimani was killed by US, Iran officially anunced on January 5 its exit from 2015 Nuclear Accord. Nuclear deal was signed by Tehran with P5+1 nations during leership of former US President Barack Obama. However, Iran's breaching of deal comes at time when Iran has indicated towards 'harsh retaliation' against US as a response to Washington's unprecedented airstrike.
US embassy in Baghd was also attacked on January 4 as two mortars hit Baghd's Green Zone and simultaneously two rockets hit Iraq's Al-Bal airbase, where US troops were stationed. This comes after US deployed its troops across Iraq following drone strike that killed Iranian general on January 3. As per media reports, ministration officials privately warned members of Congress that Iran is expected to retaliate against US eir at home or abro, 'within weeks'.

Security enhanced in US
Security measures have been enhanced in US, who have ordered scaling back of operations by US-led coalition in Iraq. US embassy in Baghd has 'urged' its citizens to leave country fearing retaliation from Iran and its allies over recent killings. Iran's supreme leer Ayatollah Ali Khamenei h reportedly warned of 'severe revenge for criminals who bloodied ir foul hands with his blood'. Khamenei furr said that Soleimani's work and his path will t be stopped.

Trump, on or hand, has shrugged threats from Iran and said that ' US wants more threats' and that Iran 'will be hit very hard'. Trump h previously said in first comments after strike that Soleimani was directly or indirectly responsible for many deaths and he h me 'death of incent people his sick passion'. However, on contrary, grief and anger has mounted on Iraqis who called Soleimani as 'martyred' and chanted 'Death to America'.
