Iran's top official calls nuclear scientist's assassination 'complicated operation'
As Iran conducted the burial, held the funeral of nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a top official said that the killing was a ‘complicated operation’.

As Iran conducted burial, held funeral of its slain nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizeh following his assassination last week, a top Iranian official on vember 30 said that killing was a ‘complicated operation’ that included “electronic devices”. While talking to state TV, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Rear-miral Ali Shamkhani echoed similar remarks of holding Israel responsible for murder of scientist that led Iran’s disbanded military program.
According to him, nuclear scientist was killed remotely on vember 27. But during his remarks at funeral of Fakhrizeh, Shamkhanisaid that individual was present at site where attack took place. Fakhrizeh was killed on outskirts of capital Tehran after gunmen attacked his car on Friday.

“Unfortunately, operation was a very complicated operation and was carried out by using electronic devices,” Shamkhani told state TV. “ individual was present at site.”

Israeli weapon was used to kill Fakhrizeh
Earlier, Tehran’s English-langu Press TV said on vember 30 that weapon used in killing was me in Israel. An unnamed source revealed to Iranian state media that weapon collected from site where country’s top scientist was killed on vember 27 “bears logo and specifications of Israeli military industry”.

However, in an interview before report was published, Israeli intelligence minister Eli cohen h told a rio station that he did t kw who was responsible for murder that heightened tensions in region.
Fakhrizeh was killed last week in an armed attack that according to an Associated Press report, bore fears of military-style ambush, likes of which Israel has been accused of carrying out in past. Friday incident in Iran t only ignited tensions in region but Tehran also placed blame of murder on Israel and Iran’s supreme leer Ali Khamenei demanding “definitive punishment”.

Meanwhile, during nuclear scientist’s funeral in rrn Tehran on vember 30, nation’s defence minister separately pledged to continue Fakhrizeh’s work “with more speed and more power.” Even though he h little public profile, Fakhrizeh was reportedly named by Israel as a prime player in Iran’s nuclear weapon’s quest. In early 2000s, he h founded Islamic republic’s military nuclear program.
