Essex Lorry deaths: Irish judge approves extradition of suspect to UK
An Irish court ruled that one of the truck drivers wanted over the deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants found in a refrigerated lorry near London can be extradited.

An Irish court on January 24 ruled that one of truck drivers wanted over deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants found in a refrigerated lorry near London can be extrited from Ireland to UK. According to reports, British authorities were seeking Eamonn Harrison on charges of human trafficking and immigration offences. Judge Donald Binchy of Dublin High court reportedly said that 23-year-old should w be sent to Britain to face charges of manslaughter and conspiracy to traffic people.
Judge furr ordered Harrison's handover to Britain until February 4 as lengthy judgement would t be available until early next week. He furr also granted a request from Harrison's lawyer for more time to consider it. Harrison h earlier challenged extrition order as his lawyers argued that a lack of information in warrant about place of death and how he was involved me case 'fundamentally defective'.

Along with Harrison, ar man from rrn Ireland was arrested and charged with conspiring to arrange travel of people with a view to ir exploitation, and conspiracy to break immigration laws. According to reports, police h arrested ten people last year in connection with deaths. Two or men from Ireland are also wanted on suspicion of manslaughter and human trafficking.

United Kingdom police h discovered 39 bodies from a lorry container on October 23, last year. lorry was found parked in Watergle Industrial Park in souast England. Police h launched a multiple-murder investigation and h arrested 25-year-old lorry driver. All 39 people, including a teenr, were declared de at scene, reported British media. According to media reports, lorry was registered in Bulgaria and it h entered county through Holyhe, Wales on October 19.
