Israel Activates Reserve Troops Amid Escalating Tensions with Hezbollah

The Israeli military announced on Wednesday that it is activating reserve troops in response to rising tensions with the Hezbollah militant group. This decision signals Israel's intention to take tougher measures against Hezbollah following a series of recent confrontations.

The announcement comes just hours after Hezbollah launched a missile toward Tel Aviv, marking a notable intensification in hostilities. In a statement, the Israeli army confirmed that it is calling up “two reserve brigades for operational missions in the northern arena,” aimed at continuing combat against what it termed the "Hezbollah terrorist organization."

The conflict has already resulted in casualties; at least three individuals were reported wounded when a house in a northern Israeli kibbutz was struck during a barrage of rockets fired by Hezbollah. The injured were evacuated to a hospital in Nahariya, a city located near the Lebanon border.

Hezbollah responded to Israel's expanded airstrikes in Lebanon by firing dozens of rockets into Israeli territory, escalating the ongoing conflict between the two longstanding adversaries.
