Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu allegedly travelled secretly on vember 22 to city of Neom on Saudi Arabia’s Red coast for a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, an Israeli official told local media on vember 23.

Both Israel and Saudi Arabia are thought to have maintained secret ties for many years w but it is first time such a high-level meeting has been reported, amid a general n-existence of official ties. When news broke on several media outlets, Netanyahu’s social media viser Topaz Luk tweeted saying, “While Benny Gantz is dealing with politics Prime Minister is making peace.”

As per interpretations, Netanyahu’s office has neir commented on story r denied it. Moreover, reports also claimed that Israel's Prime Minister did t tify his coalition partners, who are also his rivals, including Defense Minister Benny Gantz and Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi, about trip to Saudi Arabia. But, director of Moss, Yossi Cohen, allegedly joined Netanyahu for visit where Israeli PM was reportedly on ground in Neom for at least five hours.

Pompeo also tweeted about Saudi trip

Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo h said on vember 23 that he participated in a  “constructive” meeting with Saudi Crown Prince night before wrapping up his seven-nation trip on behalf of outgoing US President Donald Trump ministration. Pompeo visited Israel along with or Gulf nations but did t mention Netanyahu’s presence in Neom.

reports of Netanyahu travelling to Saudi Arabia came after Twitter users ticed a private jet make a landing at Neom from Tel Aviv on evening of vember 22. As per reports, Netanyahu and Cohen travelled to Gulf nation on private plane of businessman Ehhud Angel and according to Kan, it was same jet that Israeli PM used to covertly visit to Oman in 2019. 

Netanyahu flew to foreign nation after scheduled meeting with cabinet members on vember 22 was delayed over incomplete groundwork. Even Gantz complained about t being informed about high-level meeting that can furr pave way to establish Israel’s ties with UAE and Bahrain.
