Israel-UAE deal: Iran terms it 'strategic stupidity', France lauds 'positive step'
Iran has strongly condemned the US-brokered agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates to fully normalise the relations between the two nations.

Iran has strongly condemned US-brokered agreement between Israel and United Arab Emirates to fully rmalise relations between two nations. Foreign Ministry termed agreement as an act of “strategic stupidity” and will furr strengn Iran-backed “axis of resistance” which includes Syria, and Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
" oppressed people of Palestine and all free nations of world will never forgive rmalising of relations with criminal Israeli occupation regime and complicity in its crimes," ministry said in a statement.

US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed issued a joint statement on August 13, saying y have agreed to full rmalisation of relations between Israel and UAE. Calling it a historic breakthrough, y said that deal will vance peace in Middle East region and is a testament to “bold diplomacy and vision” of three leers.

Iran has warned that UAE and or accompanying states must accept responsibility for all “consequences” of agreement. Turkey has also accused Abu Dhabi of betraying Palestinian cause for its “narrow interests” and said that history will t forgive UAE for such “hypocritical behaviour”.

“History and conscience of region’s peoples will t forget and never forgive this hypocritical behaviour of UAE, betraying Palestinian cause for sake of its narrow interests,” ministry said in a statement.
France welcomes deal
landmark Israel-UAE deal has triggered reactions from across world and some countries, including France, have welcomed decision. France said that Israel’s decision to suspend annexation of Palestinian territories under agreement is a “positive step” and must become a “definitive measure”. Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said in a statement that deal must w allow resumption of negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians with a view to establishing two states within framework of international law.
