Israeli guard kills alleged Palestinian attacker

Israeli military said Tuesday that an Israeli security officer shot and killed a Palestinian man who allegedly tried to carry out a stabbing attack in occupied West Bank.

In a statement, army said officer spotted man approaching a junction and toger with an Israeli soldier fired warning shots into air.

It said suspect threw a knife at security officer, who n shot Palestinian.

In recent years, Palestinians, usually acting on ir own, have attempted to carry out dozens of stabbings, shootings, and car rammings aimed at security forces and Israeli settlers in West Bank.
