Israeli Missiles Target Beirut Suburb Killing 40 as Middle East Remains on Boil

Beirut: Israeli airstrikes in Leban killed 40 people near eastern city of Baalbek in Bekaa Valley on Wednesday, country’s health ministry reported. ditional strikes targeted Beirut's sourn suburbs at dusk.

For over a year, Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah have been exchanging fire alongside ongoing Gaza conflict. However, tensions have sharply escalated since late September, with Israel ramping up bombings in sourn and eastern Leban and conducting ground incursions into border vills.

Lebanese health ministry stated that 40 people were killed and 53 injured in strikes on Baalbek and surrounding areas in Bekaa Valley. Israeli military has t issued a statement on attack.

In sourn suburbs of Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold, Israel has continued to launch heavy strikes. On Wednesday, Israeli military ordered evacuations from several locations in area. Two rounds of airstrikes followed, one on Wednesday evening and ar in early hours of Thursday.
