Medical workers in Italy have come up with an innovative idea to convert snorkel masks into makeshift ventilators amid increasing demand for the equipment.

According to reports, hospitals that are facing an overlo of COVID-19 patients are opting idea of converting full-face srkel masks from sports stores such as Decathalon into a ventilator by using 3D printed valves. Media reports suggest that many health care facilities in country and around globe are w opting same idea plus are ding ir own specific medical parts to it to make it more useful. As per reports, Erasme Hospital in Belgium is one such example that is using upgred srkel masks with 3D-printed respiratory valves fittings to treat patients.

Ventilators are one of key medical equipment that countries are gearing up to procure as it becomes necessary furr into treatment of a COVID-19 patient. Ventilators are used for patients with severe respiratory problems to provide m with mechanical ventilation by moving breathable air into and out of lungs when y are physically unable to brea or are breathing insufficiently.

China was most affected country until last week before Italy and Spain surpassed it to record most number of deaths anywhere in world due to COVID-19. United States and France are on verge of overtaking China in terms of number of deaths recorded in se countries. virus is believed to have originated from a seafood market in China's Wuhan city, epicentre of disease, where animals were reportedly being tred illegally.
