Japan sees its highest one-day surge in coronavirus deaths amidst global pandemic

To prevent rapid increase in numbers, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has anunced to continue measures such as school suspensions, working from home and refraining from large scale events.
With regards to 2020 Olympics, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Monday said that a postponement of Tokyo Olympics would be unavoidable if games cant be held in a complete way because of coronavirus pandemic. He commented on International Olympic Committee's plan to examine situation over next few weeks and make a decision, which could include option to postpone, as per reports.

Wher Japan can hold Tokyo Games as planned from July 24 has been a major international concern as COVID-19 outbreak has spre globally.

Meanwhile, United States Track and Field federation has also called for postponing of event. In a letter to Olympic Committee, USATF has ackwledged that “global pandemic has grown” and keeping in mind health and safety of ir coaches, players, athletes and or staff, federation me decision.
Apart from this, Japan has asked travellers from US to self-quarantine for 14 days after ir arrival to prevent spre of new coronavirus. It is also considering imposing an entry ban from US as well as vising its citizens to defer nurgent travel.

While Japan has so far mand to slow acceleration of outbreak, experts say y have found a growing number of clusters in urban areas with untraceable infections as per reports.

While coronavirus pandemic continues to spre fear among people around globe, in past few weeks, countries around world have moved to a complete lockdown situation, where people are being vised to stay indoors as much as possible to contain contagion.
