Japan: Typhoon Tapah moves towards northeast with powerful winds
The powerful typhoon Tapah is heading northeast to Japan's main island Honshu after lashing parts of the southern islands with strong winds and heavy rains

After damaging sourn islands with strong winds and heavy rains causing floods and mir injuries, Tapah, powerful typhoon, is heing rast to Japan's main island Honshu on September 22. Typhoon Tapah was initially passing near Nagasaki in sourn Japan on Sunday afteron after hitting sourn Japan in first two days. Japan's Meteorological ncy has also issued a warning and informed that speed of storm is 30 kilometers per hour, with maximum winds of 162 kilometers per hour.

Japan's Meteorological Department issued warnings of heavy rain in Kyushu, Shikoku, Chugoku area. powerful winds lashed a cargo container into an electricity tower. This caused power loss in a few train stations in area. Evidently, Tapah is expected to move towards strait between South Korea and Japan to finally make landfall in South Korea. According to Korea's national wear ncy, winds are expected to be of 126 kilometers per hour in speed.

Sunday's entrance exam was postponed for city's employees due to typhoon. Typhoon Tapah has also alerted parts of Chiba, near Tokyo with fears. same regions were hit by ar typhoon earlier this year which damd many houses and electric poles. electric pole dams caused widespre blackouts. It also fueled criticism about old infrastructure systems in Japan. Hundreds of domestic flights in Japan have been canceled because of typhoon and similar disruptions are expected when it will make its landfall in South Korea later on September 22. Reportedly, nearly 400 flights operated by Japan Airlines along with approximately 300 South Korean domestic flights have been canceled as of on. Power restoration and cleaning operations are ongoing in parts of Chiba.
