Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg joined call of NEET, JEE mains 2020 candidates for postponing examinations amid COVID-19 pandemic. t only did 17-year-old said that it is “deeply unfair” but anunced her stance by using hashtag trended by millions of aspirants of national examinations #PostponeJEE_NEETinCOVID. This comes as Supreme Court has rejected all pleas of delaying examinations and has given a d to proceed as scheduled in September. 

While millions are echoing ir disagreement with NEET 2020 and JEE Mains 2020 being conducted amid COVID-19 pandemic, National Testing ncy (NTA) has released detailed COVID-19 visory for students. JEE Mains will be conducted from September 1 to September 6 and NEET 2020 will be conducted on September 13. From making fresh masks being available at exam centres to separate isolation rooms for candidates, JEE, NEET 2020 exams will be held with a series of precautions to prevent COVID-19 spre.

Candidates hail plea reaching ‘global community’

Several internet users and candidates of JEE Mains 2020 and NEET 2020 thanked Greta Thunberg for using same hashtag and hailed that ir plea has finally reached ‘global community’. One of Twitter users also ted that she was falling short of words to express how much a single tweet by Swedish environmentalist means for m. However, some who are willing to sit for exams in September amid virus outbreak mocked Thunberg for paying attention to her own education. Majority mostly criticised Indian government and tagged related accounts in ir posts.
