President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris made their first joint appearance since her election loss when they observed Veterans Day together.

Washington: President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday me ir first joint appearance since her election loss when y observed Veterans Day toger by laying a wreath at Tomb of Unkwn Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

Biden houred service and sacrifice of America's military veterans, including those who paid ultimate price, and ir families, during what was his final time speaking at cemetery's memorial amphiatre in his capacity as commander in chief of US military.

“It's been greatest hour of my life, to le you, to serve you, to care for you, to defend you, just as you defended us, generation after generation after generation,” Biden said. “You are greatest fighting force, and this is t hyperbole, finest fighting force in history of world.” He reminisced about trips to US military installations around world, and to such historic military sites as Valley Forge and Gettysburg in Pennsylvania.

Biden also anunced that Department of Veterans Affairs is expanding s of cancers covered under PACT Act, legislation he signed to expand health care services for veterans who served at military bases where toxic smoke billowed from “burn pits".

Over 1 million veterans and families have alrey been helped under law, he said.

Biden's son, Beau, who Jill helped raise, served in Delaware Army National Guard and deployed to Iraq in 2008 for about a year. He died of brain cancer in 2015 at of 46.
