Joe Biden Calls President-Elect Donald Trump, Wishes Him On Winning US Presidential Polls

Washington: President Joe Biden called President-elect Donald Trump to wish him on his electoral victory in 2024 US Presidential election and to invite him to White House to discuss transition of power. White House confirmed interaction between two leers after declaration of poll result. 

Following electoral verdict, White House said that staff would coordinate a date “in near future.” Joe Biden plans to dress nation on election results, which will have sharp implications for his legacy on Thursday. He also reportedly spoke with Vice President Kamala Harris to congratulate her on her campaign.

Biden also spoke over phone with Vice President Kamala Harris and congratulated her on her historic campaign, White House said.

In his call with Trump, Biden expressed his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and emphasised importance of working to bring country toger.

“He also invited President-elect Trump to meet with him in White House. staff will coordinate a specific date in near future. Tomorrow, President Biden will dress nation to discuss election results and transition,” White House said.
