Instagram post got a lot of traction and Internet was divided over aunticity of photograph. photographer, Tom Cann, revealed that though whale shark in photograph is real, picture creates an illusion of being directly below vessel. In an interview with a news portal, Cann said that whale shark spent a lot of time at surface and was checking everybody out on boat. People aboard vessel were quite amazed by behaviour of whale shark, news portal quoted Cann saying.

Cann asked to help whale sharks as ir existence is threatened by increasing pollution. whale shark is listed as endangered species on International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) red list. Whale sharks is a variety of shark which has earned its name due to its size, which is as large as some species of whales. It is found in tropical and warm-temperate seas. twithstanding its mammoth size, whale sharks are docile in nature and do t pose danger to humans.
