Iconic actor and politician Kamal Haasan is currently celebrating his 65th birthday today, and a three-day celebration has been organized by his team to mark his 60th year in films. For the occasion, all his family members along with the actor headed to their hometown Paramakudi to kick off the rendezvous. From the pictures that have surfaced, the actor's daughters Shruti & Akshara were seen accompanying him on the trip.

Shruti & Akshara's sweet message for their father: 

Donning traditional attires, Kamal Haasan's daughters Shruti and Akshara posted heartwarming messages for their 'Bapuji' and shared how grateful they are to have him in the lives. "Such a special birthday marking 60 years of your work in cinema , we get to go back to paramakudi we get to celebrate atthis life as well and most importantly we get to be a part of your very special life :) love you lots pappa.", read an excerpt from Shruti's post. Kamal Haasan's daughter Akshara also took to Instagram and posted pictures wherein all of them could be seen all in smiles. From the looks of it, the snaps have been taken at the airport. Take a look at it below-

About the actor: 

Haasan has been in the film industry for a very long time as he started his career as a child artist in 1960 in the Tamil film Kalathur Kannamma. He won the President’s Gold Medal for this movie as well. His breakthrough as a lead actor came in the 1975 drama Apoorva Raagangal, directed by K.Balachander. In this drama, he played a rebellious youth who falls in love with an older woman. He won his first National Film Award for his portrayal of a guileless schoolteacher who cares for a woman who suffers from retrograde amnesia in Moondram Pirai (1983).
