Kamala Harris' presidential campaign has amassed a remarkable $540 million since its launch. This surge in donations was notably boosted during the Democratic National Convention (DNC) this week.

Campaign Chair Jen O’Malley Dillon revealed that the campaign experienced its “best fundraising hour since launch day” following Harris' acceptance speech on Thursday. The campaign saw a substantial increase in contributions, crossing the $500 million mark just before the speech, and raising an additional $40 million afterward.

Dillon’s memo highlighted that the campaign had collected $81 million within the first 24 hours after Harris entered the race, following President Biden's withdrawal. The campaign's impressive performance continued with $82 million raised last week alone.

“The Convention was a galvanizing moment for the Harris-Walz coalition, energizing and mobilizing both volunteers and grassroots donors,” Dillon stated. She emphasized that the campaign plans to leverage this momentum to engage with battleground voters intensively and not take any support for granted.

In contrast, former President Donald Trump's campaign, which reported raising $138.7 million in July, trails behind Harris' fundraising success. Trump’s campaign had $327 million in cash on hand at the start of August, according to the Associated Press.
